Sadly when you are photographing geese, you quite often come across injured birds. Usually this was caused by people.
That might be dog attacks, fishing hooks (like this one), or something else.
If we can, we’ll try to help. You may have seen us doing this and that’s how you found this site. The t-shirts help explain what we’re doing so that people don’t interrupt.
We seek advice from independent rescue centres, and we have gained experience in safe bird handling under experienced supervision.
If you find an injured bird, you should seek advice too.
If the bird is somewhere near Manchester or High Peak, it might be we would be able to help. We work full time, so we can only come down when work allows, but we do have some of the right tools and experience.
